Would you like to build a lineup?
Each Thursday I'll give a little breakdown on how to build your lineup with the information readily available to everyone, especially if you don't know where to start.
this can always change pending preview numbers and are by no means a guarantee to win
We made it!! Another season in the books. Overall I didn't fair too badly. How did you do?
Summer usually consists of a lot of blockbuster movies. But the kickoff for movie season has been earlier the past few years, thanks to Marvel movies mainly. This week, kiddos get their first real blockbuster with "The Secret Life of Pets 2". There are a lot of kids enjoying their last day of school this week, and are itching to start their summer. How will this effect the box office?
The Builder has us starting a little soft at $80k. That's okay though, it's always a starting point and bound it increase.
Guyett set the Bonus Bar at $85k. Definitely "easing" into the season :)
BSWhite is back and has challenged folks in the community to go against him in the BSA vs FML league. He's betting that "Dark Phoenix" will not be BP nor feature in the PC. His league is to prove that the BSA is not to be messed with. :)
Woah. Phil, it looks like "A Dog's Journey" has been misplaced in your tiers. Or has it? (More on that in one paragraph :D). Phil is saying that "Booksmart", "Brightburn", "The Hustle", and "The Intruder" are all DOA this week.
Sulli may take up permanent residency in Noteworthy Threads. This week, in an unprecedented pairing, "A Dog's Journey" is paired with "The Secret Life of Pets 2" 181 times! That could be a huge benefit for "A Dog's Journey" this weekend.
BOP has "The Secret Life of Pets 2" as their BP favourite, followed by "Dark Phoenix" and "Booksmart". Early presales would indicate, however, that "Dark Phoenix" is not in the running.
BOR has "Aladdin" as his front runner in the BP race, having it as a 3xAnchor play. It's a good anchor option, but will it be BP? He has "Bharat" second and "The Secret Life of Pets 2" coming in a distant third.
Unfortunately Box Office Mojo hasn't reported while I was writing. (kiddo has a band concert tonight, so this was a little early this week) You can find it later this evening, usually on the main page.
Just as Phil suggested in his Fandango Check, "Booksmart", "Brightburn", "The Hustle" and "The Intruder" all took heavy cuts, ranging from 55% - 70%. The other notable TC cut was "A Dog's Journey" with 62.5% cut. The question is, does the drive in pairing give it enough gusto to break the Bonus Bar.
I've got a couple anchor options I've been toggling back and forth with. Both are good, it just depends on on BP, which as of now, I have a clear favourite. Hopefully you do as well. :).
