Would you like to build a lineup?

Lindsay Chrapko

Each Thursday I'll give a little breakdown on how to build your lineup with the information readily available to everyone, especially if you don't know where to start.

this can always change pending preview numbers and are by no means a guarantee to win

Well Bohemian Rhapsody sure surprised me. Kinda. Lol. When the TC count was changed to it going from being gutted to 700 to gaining theatres back, it really made the difference. A few were all over that little tidbit of info and really ran with it.

Let's check out the FML community.

Bonus Bar

The cineplex builder defaults to $73.5k this week. Great place to start but Guyett's $85k is more realistic. Once you put in estimates from various places (including yourself! :P) you'll see that the Bonus Bar is definitely above $85k

Fandango Check

I will never claim to truly understand this. I know plus is bad, minus is good and that about it. What I do take interest in, is the tiers that Phil sets out and his little tidbits of information that gives us. In this case, The Grinch is the no bueno pick of this week.

You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have, the BSA. :) Agree to disagree or agree or disagree, that's usually the case with the BSA. This week he advises against Mary Poppins Returns. Right now, my numbers are inclined to agree.

All the other sites that are really important, like seriously, bookmark these.

Boxoffice Mojo

Looks like Mojo has a tight race between Second Act and Wreck It Ralph. Both hovering over the $85k Bonus bar.

Pro Boxoffice

Yowsers. Looks like Second Act is way above everything else in Pro's eyes.

Boxoffice Report

BOR also has a tight race between Second Act and Wreck it Ralph. Both over $87k leading the pack.

Even if you take the average of these sites, Second Act and Wreck it Ralph are the top 2 movies. Remember, you MUST keep in mind they usually only estimate the top 5-12 movies. The bottom part of the slate is on you.

Theatre Counts

Here's the variable. Now you also have to consider what movies are gaining theatres and which movies are losing theatres (and which ones don't report in a timely manner lol). The Grinch definitely took the biggest hit on the slate. Theatre Counts go nicely with the Fandango Check, even if you don't quite understand it. :)

If I were to take all this into consideration, with all this information that is available to me, I'd be looking playing either Second Act or Wreck it Ralph as my BP and trying to figure out what to anchor with from there.

Good luck!
