Week 12 Box Office Estimates

Hey all! Todd from www.toddmthatcher.com here bringing you my take on Week 12, as we near the culmination of the Spring FML Season next week. We have three new entries joining the fray: "Alien: Covenant" (the sixth pic in a nearly 40 year-old franchise), "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul" (the fourth pic in a seven year-old franchise), and "Everything, Everything" (the first pic in an unlikely franchise).

That said, it's "Everything" that probably stands the greatest shot at being a sleeper. My current $12.3 million estimate for it has me playing it just once. However, a bump to $13 million would have me playing it five times along with "Beauty and the Beast", "How to Be a Latin Lover", and "Going in Style".

For now, I'm sticking with the $12.3M number with "Alien" reaching mid 40s and "Wimpy Kid" with a sub double digits opening in fifth place.

Here's how I have all the 15 selected FML features doing:

"Alien: Covenant" - $44.6 million

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" - $32.2 million

"Everything, Everything" - $12.3 million

"Snatched" - $9 million

"Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul" - $8.1 million

"King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" - $6.3 million

"Beauty and the Beast" - $3 million

"The Fate of the Furious" - $2.8 million

"The Boss Baby" - $2.5 million

"How to Be a Latin Lover" - $2 million

"Lowriders" - $1.4 million

"Gifted" - $840,000

"The Circle" - $612,000

"Going in Style" - $502,000

"Smurfs: The Lost Village" - $498,000

That leaves me playing a screen with seemingly a little bit of everything: "Alien", "Everything, Everything", "Beauty and the Beast", "The Fate of the Furious", "Latin Lover", "Gifted", and "Going in Style" twice. What say you, FMLand?
