  • WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES

    3.5/4 Only Kinda angry

Overall a very patient and well made film. Shows the toll war takes on an individual mentally, physically and emotionally. What's amazing about this story is how all of the apes could easily be replaced by humans and it still would have been an effectively internal war film. The performances all around are fantastic, but the story does unnecessarily pump the brakes at a few scenes and I wasn't sure why. There were just a few moments that lingered a little longer than they needed to and it messed with the overall flow, but it's a minor problem.

    JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2

    3/4 - Kinda angry

Not as much fun as the first one, but still a blast to explore this world more deeply and learn about the rules established and honored by its inhabitants. I particularly enjoyed the sheer honesty everybody had towards each other as far as their jobs and who they've just killed. Can't wait for the next one, which I assume will be the finale.

    MOANA

4/4 - Not angry at all!

Finally caught this on Netflix and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It made me laugh, tap my toe, and pulled my heartstrings. Great performances and music, and the animation was outstanding, particularly the water. I wish I had seen this in theaters in 3D.

  • 21 2.5/4

Found this deep inside my movie library and gave it a watch over the weekend. Surprisingly, it's not that bad of a film. The drama/romance is hamhanded and the plot is a bit nonsensical, but it's a fun movie overall.

    Iron Man 4/4
Gave this one another watch due to the fact that I was trying to figure you which was better, this or Homecoming. Unsurprisingly, it's this one. Still a classic with great action, humor, and cast

    Toy Story 3 3.5/4

I didn't like this movie the first time I saw it, but I decided to give it another shot. I now see how good it is as a surprisingly poignant film about toys

  • Geek, have you seen Zootopia? Because STEVE and I need a tiebreaker on which Disney animated film from last year was better...

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels: 3/4 Kinda Angry

I'm a sucker for these brash and stylish crime films. The characters are awesome, dialogue/banter is witty, and I absolutely loved the intertwining plot; however, something feels a little bit off. I think the movie was just a little TOO fast and in your face for my liking, and perhaps the plentiful amount of style is trying to make up for a lack of substance. Overall though, very enjoyable.

The Beguiled (1971): 4/4 Not Angry At All

Hoooooooly **** that was tense! This film is mesmerizing, haunting, strange, and genuinely horrifying. All of the actors deliver great performances, but I especially enjoyed the character Edwina. It's really good, and I'm not sure if the new remake will be able to top it, but I am excited to find out!

    Ocean's Eleven (2001): 2/4 Pretty Angry

Well I finally saw it, and it was good. Not great. I just watched it a couple of days ago, but I couldn't give you a single character's name outside of Danny Ocean. None of them seemed very memorable, and while the whole heist is fun to watch, there wasn't a single line or moment that stuck with me. Really isn't a ton here to make me excited about a rewatch, or viewing the sequels.

    The House: 2/4 Pretty Angry

It's not a masterpiece, but it got the job done. The film wastes no time getting into its true premise of 'casino in a house', which I appreciate. Predictably ridiculous, dumb, and messy (although an unpredictably weird cameo by Jeremy Renner???), but this kind of absurdity is what Ferrell thrives on these days, and should be expected. While a fair amount of jokes fall flat, a good amount of them land, and that's all that matters.

  • Spider-Man: Homecoming

    3.5/4- Not really angry

I enjoyed this version. It had a good amount of action, but was still pretty funny. I like Tom Hiddleston as Spider-Man.

  • @ Fabs

I enjoyed Moana way more than Zootopia

  • WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES
A terrific conclusion to one of the best trilogies in recent memory, sure to go down as a classic. It blends the bleak tone of the second movie with the hopeful tone of the first for a near-perfect finish. The first half is a slow burn, which may aggravate some, but I thought did a good job of centering on the characters and allowing them to develop more until everything goes t**s up. 4/4; a must-see.

"I enjoyed Moana way more than Zootopia"
Moana is definitely better than Zootopia. - Edited

  • Tom Hiddleston isn't Spiderman, Tom Holland is his name. Tom Hiddleston is Loki.

  • Colossal: 4/4 Absolutely loved this movie. Super well made and the story was so captivating with superb acting. Caught it on an airplane so I'll definitely see it again in the comfort of my home to not try and hear over a jet engine.

Despicable Me 3: 3/4 I though this movie was really good. It was the first movie of a double feature at a drive in and was pleasantly surprised by it. Can't stand the minions still but they had one sequence that was really funny and I thought the villain was very funny throughout the whole movie.

Spider-Man Homecoming: 4/4 This was the second part of the double feature and it was a blast. I thought the action was really good and loved the story in it.

Transformers 5: 1/4 The only reason I saw this was because a friend and I were trying to escape the rain and he wanted to see this. I haven't seen a full one of these since the 2nd one, watched part of the 4th on Netflix before turning it off. This was really bad, one of the worst movies I have seen this year.

Baby Driver: 4/4 Finally caught this and absolutely loved it. The music was perfect and the chases were better than anything in fate of the furious. Acting was phenomenal with my favorite performance going to Jon Hamm.

The Last Jedi Behind The Scenes: 4/4 Super pumped for this movie and this was a great look and I can't wait for a second trailer to come out.

  • Sorry. That's correct. 😃
