Kung Fu Panda 3 - 2 Locations, 4 Total Showings, 0 3D Showings, 0 IMAX/PLF Showings, Loss of 50.0% of total showings

Couple notes...

  • Not shockingly, Bros Grimsby is splitting a screen nearly everywhere.
  • I wasn't sure what to do with the WTF/Anomalisa double feature, so I counted it as a half for WTF. Even though WTF is still in every local theater, it lost quite a few shows.
  • So long Gods of Egypt... We hardly knew ye.

I guess I assumed Divergent was in 3D. It's very interesting Zoot owns all of them.

Yup, I think that was part of the lower Divergent estimates as well. No 3D prices. Although locally, it seems like theaters are more and more willing to shed 3D screens. Maybe the fad is finally dying. On a personal note, I'd be cool with that.

That's the beauty of IMAX for theatres. "Wanna see it in IMAX? Guess what, you're seeing it in 3D too. Now gimme that credit card."

Wait - so Young Messiah and Risen both lost and now currently have nearly identical # of shows. Hmmm ...

@miraclment - last week Grimsby had 37 shows (7 locations) in this market. Not sure it mattered then, or will this week for Bronze, which has had almost NO advertising:
