With the Sundance Film Festival going, it's already time for Oscar Watch 2020 to begin and it starts with Viggo Mortensen's directorial debut Falling. This will be the thread for all things Oscar speculation on my end for 2020! Let the endless debating and second guessing begin...
I am already pretty positive Promising Young Woman will be my favorite movie of the year. It is my most-anticipated. I love Carey Mulligan and it's right up my alley. I was excited before the Sundance reaction but now my excitement is at a fever pitch.
I honestly assumed Mulligan had more than one previous nomination. Thought there was at least anther somewhere in there.
There absolutely should have been others. She was certainly robbed for Shame. Also terrific in Wildlife and Never Let Me Go. I loved her in Drive as well but that may just be because I love her and I love the film 😛. I really hope she'll be back in the conversation for Promising Young Woman but her best bet would be at the Globes if they submit the film for Comedy.
